Does anyone really believe that when law-abiding citizens are left defenseless, it is going to be safer? You honestly think that the gangs won’t have guns anymore? Washington State being a sanctuary state and the Biden regime letting cartel members and gangs from a half-dozen countries come into the country, and a lot of them ending up right here in Washington State, it is a dream come true for these criminals to have laws take guns away from law-abiding citizens
If they really wanted gun safety, they would have classes staffed with trained experts teaching the proper handling and safety procedures of different kinds of weapons. In every school.
Let’s take a look at the number of armed civilians who stop active shooter incidents more frequently than police. Look no further than Bend, Oregon: had it not been for Kaylub Giamanco, a concealed carry holder, just think how many more teachers and children would have been killed. Twin Falls, Idaho, at the In-N-Out Burger, Jordan Salinas hears shots being fired and grabs his weapon and begins firing back at the shooter. The shooter ends up committing suicide, but the fact that Jordan had a weapon and took action was what saved many lives. Thank God for armed citizens: both these incidents were stopped by the armed citizen within seconds; how long would it have taken officers to respond, and how many more people would have been killed?
The Crime Prevention Research Council (CRPC) report says armed civilians have stopped attacks at a rate far higher than the mere 4.6 percent that the FBI tallied. In fact, during encounters that occurred outside of “gun-free zones,” an amazing 63 percent of attacks were stopped by legally armed citizens last year, according to the findings.
Carl Moody is the CPRC’s research director. Taking aim at a talking point frequently purported by anti-Second Amendment pundits, he noted: “The data put together by the CPRC show that an armed citizen has yet to accidentally shoot an innocent bystander.”
Plenty of data shows how many times an armed citizen has saved lives. Armed citizens are not the problem. In almost every mass shooting or intentional killing with a gun, some warnings were ignored. It’s a good idea that when someone says they’re going to kill people, we take them seriously.
The anti-gun lobby has nothing to do with making the streets or neighborhoods that are dominated by gangs or people who are on drugs, and they easily buy into the hateful rhetoric that is designed to promote a violent reaction.
Once the citizens are disarmed, the government can impose restrictions and oppressive laws without worrying that the citizens will retaliate and stand up for the rule of law.
History shows that once the citizens are disarmed, the people are controlled by the power now in the hands of a small number of people called an Oligarchy.
The bottom line is: you allow these elected servants to disarm the law-abiding citizens; you surrender the power to protect your family yourself, the public, and you remove the one obstacle that is protecting your God-given rights that are the foundation of the Constitution.
Besides an oppressive government that has no fear, there will be a rise in people being assaulted, robberies, and rapes. There are not enough law enforcement officers to provide protection from criminals: 1.37 officers per 1000 in Washington state. There is a shortage of officers in almost every state. So when a situation happens that is threatening or results in a shooting, without the hope of an illegal armed citizen, there is no stopping what will happen in a matter of seconds.
We must never allow the elected servants to ever take away our God-given right to self-defense. Once they take away the 2nd Amendment, it is not coming back.
