What is happening in America? After the Constitutional Convention in 1787, Benjamin Franklin was asked what kind of government the convention had created; he replied, “A republic, if you can keep it. Today, over half of the voters don’t think we have kept it. The Declaration of Independence says that governments derive their authority from the consent of the governed. Does the federal government today have the consent of the governed?
We find ourselves in constant conflict with the raising anti American portion of society that wants to steal America’s identity. America was built on traditions that bind us together for generations are now ridiculed, discarded, and replaced with an ever-changing communist ideology that is being taught in government schools, K-12, colleges, and universities, and the sad part is we are paying for this anti- American indoctrination with our tax dollars. This is not just a culture change; it has been a step-by-step, methodical process that attacks the very fabric that made the United States the most prosperous, free, and virtuous nation in history. We are at a critical moment like never before in America’s history. We are losing our traditions, history, values, and our Constitution. If we do not stand and confront this anti-American movement and reclaim America, we will watch the country we love descend into immoral chaos and calamity.
America’s exceptionalism has rested on a moral foundation. The founding principles are not just freedom but freedom with responsibility. John Adams famously said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” Today we are seeing the faith that once was the bedrock of American life fade away. Morality is no longer the standard of truth; it is now subject to whatever personal preference justifies the actions of the immoral portion of our society. There has been an attack on the traditional family: a mother, a father, and children. Without strong families, generations of young people are lost and confused, with no sense of duty, discipline, or direction.
We once lived by a shared moral code where honesty, responsibility, and respect for authority and the value of hard work were valued. Today, those values have been replaced with entitlement, victimhood, and self-indulgence. We have many young people who feel they are owed the same things that others have sacrificed and worked for. We have a record crime rate not because of poverty but because we no longer teach right from wrong. We treat criminals as victims and punish law-abiding citizens.
The entertainment industry glorifies immoral lifestyles and mocks decency; national sports are used as a political platform that disrespects American values. Patriotism is declining, not because America is evil, but because we have allowed a generation to be taught that their country is something to be ashamed of rather than something to cherish. If we lose our history, we will be doomed to lose freedom and liberty. All the attributes this country was built on- faith, family, patriotism, and personal responsibility are nowadays widely thought of as relics. Yet these are the only things that will keep us strong.
We are at a point where we have to start fighting back; no more being afraid of offending someone because you believe in Christian values and moral standards. The communists have been successful in dominating the media, portraying anyone who denounces the communist takeover as trying to separate and divide groups. We cannot let the labels they put on us intimidate us and keep us from speaking the truth; America’s future is at stake.
